What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Are you struggling with energy dips and cravings? I strongly believe that what (and when) we eat in the morning affect our metabolism, energy and cravings all day long.

Let`s have a look at the 3 scenarios and have a look at where you are:

SCENARIO 1 :SKIPPING BREAKFAST
(includes having a late breakfast later than 1 hour after waking up)
A big no no as your metabolism will go into starvation mode and will end up losing muscle instead of body fat… plus the chance is high we crave for more (and less healthy food) later.
SCENARIO 2: CARBOHYDRATE BASED BREAKFAST
Includes bread and toast (incl wholemeal bread which is a bit better though), cereals, muesli and quick oats (used to be my favo brekkie before I started my healthy lifestyle journey), muffin, rice, noodles… even though they don’t taste sweet they release very quickly sugar into our blood resulting intro extra production of insulin by our body to convert to excess sugar into fat… so we end up storing more body fat, feel tired very quickly and end up having more cravings throughout the day, esp for sweet food. Also due lack of protein (which is a building some of our muscle and very important to have at breakfast) we end up losing muscle mass. Carbohydrate based breakfast results long term not only in an increase of body fat and fatigue but also in many health issues, esp diabetes.
SCENARIO 3: PROTEIN & NUTRITION BASED BREAKFAST
The key to optimum health and a balanced body is to have a balanced breakfast with the necessary protein, vitamins, minerals, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates (yes we still need carbohydrates but healthy ones, that release sugar slowly into our bloodstream) without spiking our blood sugar in the morning and without giving our body an excess of calories. And apart from having the necessary macro nutrition it is crucial to nourish our body in the morning with all the vitamins and minerals as while we are asleep our body is not.. it is working very hard to regenerate new healthy cells overnight and hence it is very important to replenish our body with the necessary vitamins and minerals too. I have witnessed (amongst so many others) the huge impact of starting with a balanced nutrition breakfast. 12 years ago I switched my muesli breakfast to a Herbalife nutrition breakfast and from being skinny fat, tired and struggling with low blood count and hormonal issues my body balanced up and I have been feeling AMAZING ever since. I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from a nutrition protein based breakfast… even kids. Such a great taste, so convenient, and gives  our body everything it need on cellular level. The Herbalife nutrition shake is designed as a healthy breakfast for the whole family. Even when I am on a holiday and have a ‘treat meal’ here and there😛 I always still feel and be my best because I’m starting the day on the right way 💚
